#30DayChartChallenge 2022

The #30DayChartChallenge is a community-driven event to create a data visualization on a certain topic each day of April. Daily prompts, techniques are free. Posting in twitter.
My personal goals were to look for data sets myself, try new tools, and use topics around environment and science.

Excited to start this challenge! ✨ I used the first day to refresh D3, explore color, and work with a new graph shape. Values=area. Comments welcome @vipunenfi @helsinkiuni @danburzo #30DayChartChallenge pic.twitter.com/NrXfQSiKLF

#Day5 #30DayChartChallenge not a slope chart but a chart with slopes. A propos of recent IPCC report releases @IPCC_CH #ClimateReport, will we listen and act to change the predictions and curve those slopes. pic.twitter.com/WI51adLD7m

Amidst all the @OurWorldInData data goodness, I used a small piece of data about where I live.#DAY6 #30DayChartChallenge I wonder how it would look with mode values or total sums instead of averages, and for recent data. pic.twitter.com/d7paBTp1zv

#30DayChartChallenge Oh, surprise, ridgeplots via R for #Day8 #mountains .Data from @JesusLopAng #DatainBrief This is a lot of field work, but I imagine so much good views and fresh air…jealous of practicing field biologists indeed. pic.twitter.com/juyW0By1W8

Catching up with #Day12 #30DayChartChallenge and @TheEconomist theme or at least the vibes of it (too packed for their style?) An excuse to play with #RStats, same data, 2 charts, one distribution, one stacked bar. pic.twitter.com/ouNcMhyWpc

Catching up #Day17 #30DayChartChallenge with Relationships/Connections. A network of a glimpse of today’s twitter activity, in ForceAtlas layout. Just descriptive, no sophisticated analysis behind this exercise 😐 @ClimateHuman @ScientistRebel1 @ExtinctionR #EarthDay pic.twitter.com/7FGlCJ91pY

#Day18 #30DayChartChallenge is with @OECD_Stat data. Relationship land use and long-lat, not a map. South hemisphere + China ->most obvious changes. Absolute numbers in overlapping circles = not the best choice 😕 but I must😴https://t.co/pmKIcUITWW pic.twitter.com/zvRTeQKBl3

#Day19 #30DayChartChallenge #TimeSeries of #GlobalChange, as narrated in “A life on our planet” witness statement from David Attenborough @ourplanet

#30DayChartChallenge #Day20 #NewTool was p5.js
I envisioned a time series of swan density arrival to Finland…, ended up with a bunch of hectic birds in formation 😁. Did not find the data. First time ever with p5.js (thanks to @arixha insistence😉) pic.twitter.com/DMQELqZkbX— Núria Altimir (@NAltimir) April 20, 2022
